16. Jeff Bridges and Susan Geston

Some A-listers find a degree of comfort in dating another celebrity who knows the spotlight, while others prefer a touch of normalcy. For example, Jeff Bridges and his wife Susan Geston have been together for more than 40 years. For decades, viewers have been charmed by the cool, calm, and composed actor in films such as the black-and-white The Last Picture Show, True Grit, and, of course, The Big Lebowski. Geston has also been there the whole time — or nearly so.

During the shooting of Rancho Deluxe in 1974, Bridges ran into his soon-to-be wife. He was a young actor looking for something off the menu, and she was a 20-year-old waitress working near where he was filming. That was his mindset before he met Susan, and he recalls that unforgettable encounter like it was yesterday. He also has a photograph of her from that day, which was a memory of the first time they met.
