Starring in more than 85 films since the 1980s might seem average for highly billed actors, but for John Cusack, this was a record. He has appeared in many movies like Being John Malkovich, Runaway Jury, and Maps to the Stars. The actor did not really start from scratch, as he was born to filmmaker Richard J. Cusack. His mother was a political activist, where he got his first lessons on activism. John dropped out of New York University to pursue acting, so he was not able to finish his degree.

John’s sister Joan is his partner in many things, including starring in mutual films. For example, the two played minor roles in Grandview, U.S.A as brothers and sisters. Joan is a multi-talented actress herself as she received nominations for both the Golden Globe and the Academy Awards. She won a Primetime Emmy Award for the first time in 2015.
