Taylor Swift broke into the country music scene in 2006 after she released her eponymous debut album that included the songs Our Song and Teardrops on My Guitar. Her narrative song lyrics were often inspired by her personal experiences. Her mainstream prominence began in 2008, credit to her second studio album Fearless. It has a crossover appeal with its country pop genre, with top-five singles You Belong with Me and Love Story. Swift’s Fearless album was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The singer-actress also has an actor-producer brother named Austin, who’s known for the movies I.T., I Am Mortal, and Live By Night. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he studied film. He played some roles in the plays Six Characters in Search of an Author and Dead Man’s Cell Phone. Austin had his internship at Lionsgate, where he was tasked with making and sending out screeners.
