44. Lily Allen With Her Brother Alfie
At age 15, Lily Allen left school to focus on improving her compositional and performing skills. Eventually, she made her recordings public on Myspace. The publicity resulted in airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Regal Recordings contract. Allen’s first mainstream single, Smile, reached the number one spot on the UK Singles Chart in 2006. Her debut album Alright, Still, was well-received with 2.6 million copies sold worldwide, which brought her a nomination at the Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and Brit Awards. Credit to her successful career, she also hosted her own television talk show in 2008 titled Lily Allen and Friends on BBC three.
Her brother Alfie Allen has starred in several films and television series and won a number of awards throughout his career. He is best known for portraying Theon Greyjoy on all eight seasons of the Game of Thrones series on HBO, for which he received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2019.
